Stardew Valley (The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride)
Petition to give Forgotten Disney More Love
Today we're making a Stardew Valley Farm themed after The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.
And here's the Stardew Valley title screen. I plan on playing without mods, but for some reason Steam had problems launching Stardew through the client (A huge reason I hate that digitally bought games can only be launched through clients unless you get them from like Humblebundle or Itch.io. I think even physical versions of The Sims 4 need to be connected to Origin.) So I moved my mod folder out of the Stardew files and just launched it through the mod launcher. Complicated yes, but on the plus side, Steam usually slows down my (non gaming) laptop a ton, so this'll work nicely.
Fun Fact: I usually get the orange cat on my save files and name her Kiara. I have made a Kiara save file before (With cheats). I didn't get far enough in the game to trigger the cutscence where Marnie gives you a pet though. I'm not sure what I would've named a pet anyway. Kion, maybe? That's what I'll plan on doing for this save file at least.
On his death bed Grandpa gives us a letter, telling us not to open it until we're burdened by modern life (Much like I assume Rocko is). XX years later we are working at the soul crushing Joja Corperation. Deciding we are tired with modern life we open the letter from our grandpa with a letter and a deed to his old farm in Stardew Valley. I'm a huge Stardew Valley fan and I got the Before The Famer prequel comic and it came with a letter, a deed to the farm and even a little sketch of the farm house! I loved it so much! (Also Fangamer sends out stickers with orders and I got one of Kris from Deltarune!)
Robin greets us at the bus stop and welcomes us to the valley before taking us to our farm. Robin is Stardew's carpenter, she can upgrade your house and build supplementary farm buildings such as animal coops and barns.
Stardew Valley Day 1 (Spring 1, Year 1)
Now lets actually get playing day one. I chose the Forest Farm because I like being able to collect forgeables on the farm.
First thing I did was clear out the area and then planted the parsnip seeds Mayor Lewis gave me along with some mixed seeds I picked up too (I think they are also parsnips.)
I used most of my remaining energy to chop enough wood to make a chest, then sold the sap.
I ate the leek and dandelion and headed into town. I ran into the town doctor Harvey, who is my main go to bachelor. (I'm Bi and my bachlorette choice is Emily if you were curious.) Honestly, my voice headcanon for Harvey would totally be Rick Moranis.
I went to Pierre's shop which is where I buy most of my things (Unless it's Wednesday, then I go to Joja Mart). Here I met a good handful of people: Pierre himself, the store owner, his daughter Abigail, his wife Caroline, and Leah an artist who lives in a cabin south of the farm. She's another bachelorette option and I really like her. I've married her at least once.
I ran into Evelyn who is just the sweetest old lady. She's raising her grandson Alex with her husband George.
This pen is where Alex's dog Dusty lives. You only see him in a heart event with Alex, or when the dog house is upgraded. Despite the appearance of the pen, Dusty is seen as a pretty docile dog.
This is Evelyn's husband George. He's not as nice as sweet ol' Evelyn but he does get nicer as your heart level go up.
So, artifact spots usually give you artifacts to donate to the museum, lost library books, or certain forageables ....finding one in the graveyard just seems uh ... odd ...
I got a rusty spoon so I headed over to the museum to donate it to Gunther. The museum starts out empty but as you donate more artifacts and find books, it starts to fill up. It's a lot like the museum in Animal Crossing, but in Stardew you often get rewards from Gunther for donations.
And by a stroke of luck I managed to run into Elliott as I headed down to the beach. Elliott's an author that moved to Pelican Town one year before the farmer did, to try and have peace to work on his novel.
Then I ran into Emily, who is my bachelorette of choice. Emily seems to have some kind of physic abilities and in her first heart event learns that there's a spiritual connection between her and the farmer, meaning their paths are meant to cross. One of the reasons I really like her is another heart event she has where she helps the residents of Stardew Valley with clothing therapy, letting them dress how they want and letting them express themselves.
Then we head to the Stardrop Saloon and meet the owner Gus. (I swear every lets play I watch mentions how much he looks like Mario.) Emily also works at the saloon too and is often seen behind the counter with Gus.
I went down to Marnie's Ranch and ran into Haley, Emily's sister. Lets just say she's not one of the nicest people in the valley. If you go through heart events with her though, she becomes quite a bit nicer.
This is Jas, she's the niece of ranch owner Marine, and is the God daughter of Shane, another bachelor in the game. Jas' parents passed away sometime before the beginning of the game and she's been living with them for a while now. Her best friend is a boy about her age named Vincent, and they both get tutored by another town resident named Penny.
Throughout spring, spring onions grow along this patch over the bridge from Marnie's ranch. They're good for selling or eating for +13 energy and +5 Health. A lot of people who go into the mines early save spring onions to bring with while mining.
